Pamela Anderson was without a doubt, the leading lady of Baywatch. No one else came close. The mere mention
of the word 'Baywatch', brings Pamela to the forefront of everybody's mind immediately. She joined the show on its'
third season following the departure of Erika Eleniak's former blonde lifeguard, Shauni McClain. Her character C.J.
Parker, short for Casey Jean, was a spiritual nineties flower-child and a hopeless romantic. But thanks to Pam and
that iconic red swimsuit, viewing figures soared, Baywatch rocketed in the TV ratings and made pop culture history!
1992: WHERE IT ALL BEGAN:
BAYWATCH: RIVER OF NO RETURN FEATURE EPISODE
In 1992 as Baywatch launched what was technically Season 3, the show's popular couple of Shauni McClain
(Erika Eleniak) and Eddie Kramer (Billy Warlock), were preparing to move to Australia and leave Baywatch
behind. This is where the new golden couple, CJ Parker (Pam) and Matt Brody (David Charvet) were to step
into their shoes. Little did anyone know, how hugely popular all over the globe, Baywatch was to become,
thanks - let's face it, to Pamela Anderson. In 'River of No Return', Pamela's first Baywatch episodes, we
meet CJ as a whitewater rafting guide who had previously worked at Baywatch. Mitch (David Hasselhoff)
encourages CJ to try out for the upcoming rookie swim, which she passes and ultimately returns to Baywatch
alongside new recruits Matt Brody, Summer Quinn (Nicole Eggert) and senior lifeguard Lieutenant Stephanie
Holden played by Alexandra Paul. From here on until 1997, Pam's popularity soared and she was on her way!

distracted by two attractive men, which leads to a potential life and death encounter when the two women are scuba-diving.

Back in 1992, Pamela featured alongside Baywatch co-stars including Nicole Eggert, David Charvet
and Gregory Alan Williams in the game show 'Family Feud' in which they played against the real-life
Los Angeles County Lifeguards, upon whom the Baywatch TV show was based.
